FLYING BOAT BREWING CO.
ST. PETERSBURG, FLORIDA
A new craft brewery is being built with a very unique history behind the name. Flying Boat Brewing Co. is named after the nickname of the plane flown in the first U.S. commercial airline, the Benoist XIV, flown by Tony Jannus. The plane carried passengers across Tampa Bay, between downtown St. Petersburg and Tampa. For the branding of the brewery, we are mixing strong but subtle historical aviation elements with modern design and typography. We were sure to design a couple of different icon formats for the logo, because of the many possible applications for a craft beer retail business.
The website design is in progress, along with packaging design and other exciting projects. Check back, because more content will be added soon.
